ALL BODIES DANCE - Dance WITH Teaching Exchange 2025

Dancing WITH Teaching Exchange is a paid mentorship training focused on inclusive community dance practice. The training will provide practical skill building, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to a small cohort of dance artists, both with and without disabilities interested in ABDP’s accessible community-based work.
Dancing WITH Teaching Exchange will take place over 5-months (January - May 2025) and training will be provided through workshops, studio sessions, practice teaching opportunities, class observations, one to one discussions, and participation in ABDP’s weekly community classes. Priority will be given to artists who have faced barriers to gaining typical dance training and barriers to typical employment. The intention is to expand our roster of teachers, grow our network, and provide opportunities for underserved artists.

OPEN SPACE WITH RALPH ESCAMILLAN

Ralph Escamillan, Artistic Associate at The Dance Centre (TDC), is leading OPEN SPACE,
in the 7th floor office/workspace hub as a place for QTBIPOC members of TDC.
Through a series of free book-out spaces to support collaborative meetings, writing support, or
other forms of meetings + a space for the makers of the city to sew, build and create their
costume needs. These artists' spaces will be prioritized for Queer People of Colour.
EDAM's Scholarship Call

EDAM’s Scholarship Training Program offers dancers and movement practitioners opportunities to deepen their Contact Improvisation practice and develop their professional skill-set while training alongside EDAM’s Company and community members. To participate in EDAM’s Scholarship Training Program, Scholarship participants must attend a minimum three Morning Classes per week, held Monday to Friday, from 10AM to 12PM.
